¡Bienvenido al Grupo de Conversación y Cultura Español de Tampa!
We are an informal club of Spanish learners in the Tampa Bay area who meetup for 
Spanish conversation and cultural discussions and Spanish lessons in various locations in Tampa, Clearwater and St. Petersburg. We welcome intermediate and advanced level Spanish learners for our two hour meetings where we hold conversations in Spanish, discuss Latin American and Spanish culture and learn Spanish grammar. We welcome native Spanish speakers, but you do not have to be fluent to join us.
What is an intermediate level Spanish learner?
There are many definitions of what an intermediate Spanish student is, however in general an intermediate student should be familiar with the preterite and imperfect past tenses, as well as the future tense and be able to make simple conversation in Spanish. Fluency is not required, most of us are here to improve our conversational ability in Spanish and we welcome enthusiastic Spanish learners!
Why should native Spanish speakers join us?
We welcome native Spanish speakers in our conversation group! Approximately one hour each meeting is devoted to Spanish-only conversation. However, the remaining hour is usually conducted in English as we discuss Spanish grammar and cultural topics. Any Spanish native speaker who wished to improve their English would find ample opportunity to not only assist us with our Spanish, but also join us in our English discussions and receive friendly assistance from us too!

¡Bienvenidos a los hispanohablantes nativos! Se animamos a asistir nuestro grupo. Cada reunión platicamos en español por casi una hora. Por lo tanto, por otra hora hablamos ingles sobre la gramática y la cultura hispánica. Es un oportunidad perfecta para practicar y cultivarse su ingles.
